Who We Are

Inkreadable Kids helps children unleash their inner author.
Through creative writing, kids explore with their imagination and build self-confidence in a unique and motivating way. Creative writing offers real, positive outcomes: improved language skills including better grammar and increased vocabulary, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.

Its founder, Katerina Manousakis, is a writer who runs two writing critique circles in the Washington, D.C. area. The idea for Inkreadable Kids originated in the summer of 2012 when Katerina was in Europe. There, she realized that the methods used in her critique groups worked as teaching tools for children who love to write. After she vetted the idea with teachers and a friend with previous experience teaching writing workshops, Tina solidified the model for Inkreadable Kids into a syllabus.
